Symphonic Masterworks - The New York Philharmonic in Al Ain (C3 / AAC)
For the concert in Al Ain’s beautiful Al Jahili Fort, Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic are joined by the great German virtuoso Frank Peter Zimmermann for Brahms’s gloriously lyrical Violin Concerto. After intermission, Gilbert and the orchestra perform Beethoven’s intoxicating Seventh Symphony.
