Symphonic Masterworks - Berliner Philharmoniker - Haydn, Brahms and others (C3)

Recognised as the world's greatest orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic’s premier performance at the Abu Dhabi Classics represents a „historic return“ to the Arab world. In 1951, the orchestra performed under Wilhelm Furtwängler in Kairo. Herbert von Karajan conducted the orchestra at the 1968 Baalbeck Festival and 1975 in Teheran. 35 years later, lead by Sir Simon Rattle, the concert at the Emirates Palace Auditorium underlines Abu Dhabi’s dominant role as the region’s leading cultural hub. Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Sir Simon Rattle is one of the most revered and dynamic conductors of our time. Sir Simon: “Music is no mere luxury, but instead a fundamental need. Music must be a vital and essential element in the life of each individual.” This concert, featuring symphonies by Haydn and Brahms, is a once in a lifetime opportunity...
