Abu Dhabi Classics Academy
The Abu Dhabi Classics Academy represents an entire world surrounding the concerts of Abu Dhabi Classics: workshops, film presentations, open rehearsals etc. Free introductory events are being planned in conjunction with virtually every concert. The Abu Dhabi Classics Academy will build bridges between artists and audiences, between generations and between cultures. It is intended for long-time music lovers as well as newcomers – in fact for everyone united by their love of good music.
The Abu Dhabi Classics Academy has also been created for the young generation. Schools and universities of Abu Dhabi will benefit from a brand new education and audience-development programme. Educational partnerships between Abu Dhabi Classics and leading musical institutions will yield unique encounters, with international stars of classical music visiting Abu Dhabi schools and universities.
Singing in the choir for the Lord of the Rings Symphony with the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, learning from renowned concert pianist Lang Lang, playing alongside musicians of the Vienna Philharmonic and composing new works and producing multi-media presentations with the Philharmonia of London. Just some of the Abu Dhabi Classis Academy activities we had in our first season. We start this year at the Emirates Palace on the 24th of October with a Young People’s Concert with members of the New York Philharmonic! Children and their families can also visit the orchestra’s Kids Zone Live before the concert and try out activities like being a composer or playing the violin or clarinet.
